The heart and mind of a successful magazine lie not only in a good cover but also more importantly, in professional, clean, and creative articles. My magazine contains 2 double-spread articles while one article that takes up a total of 4 respective pages.
This is the First Feature Article of my magazine. I wanted to give it a professional look so that readers are interested in reading further rather than boring them with a ton of text everywhere. I did this strategically by placing a big headline which is very mysterious and interesting. I wanted the second page of the double spread to be an image but only an image made it look uninteresting and bland, I included a snippet from a story that I received from a relative of a friend.
This Article is one of my favourites in the magazine. it spreads over t four pages and it tells nearly 10 different accounts and stories from people who suffered from cases of black magic. the first page of the article was inspired by the Travis Scott article in the Bling magazine and it gave me the idea to put my twist on the creative article. As for the page with the skull image, I didn't originally have an image with a voodoo doll as we couldn't arrange it in the props but I wanted to include one. my first instinct was to make a doll but my out-of-the-box thinking led me to the idea of using AI generation. It was my own photograph but I just extended the image and added a voodoo doll, and it looks pretty natural and realistic
This Article again was inspired by an article found online but I lost it so couldn't add a reference image. I started off by taking a brush stroke asset and warping it to my liking and duplicating it to create the effect on the next page. I was indecisive about the pics on this page but this ended up looking pretty nice and satisfactory
