Black magic, a term often whispered in hushed tones, carries a surprising weight in the real world. Beyond the realm of spells and curses lies a complex web of social consequences. Accusations of witchcraft can tear families apart, leading to social ostracization and even violence. Fear of curses becomes a weapon, manipulating individuals' behavior and hindering personal growth.Black magic thrives on exploiting vulnerabilities. Fear of the unknown and the desperation that comes with misfortune make individuals more susceptible to believing in curses and spells. Practitioners exploit these fears by weaving elaborate stories and rituals, feeding into existing cultural beliefs.
This fear fuels a lucrative black magic industry. Preying on vulnerability, practitioners promise solutions and protection from curses for hefty fees. This not only deepens fear but also perpetuates a cycle of dependence on these supposed dark forces.Combating the negative social impact of black magic requires a multi-pronged approach. Education is key to dispelling myths and promoting critical thinking in communities. By understanding the psychological mechanisms and cultural narratives that fuel belief in black magic, individuals can be empowered to question these claims. Open dialogue within communities can create a support system for those affected by black magic beliefs.

“In my twenties, I witnessed a disturbing incident involving black magic. A man named Mastan, who lived in a rental house, practiced black magic. One day, the landlord's 17-year-old daughter, playing outside, accidentally threw her ball into his room. When she retrieved it, she saw him performing rituals with yantras drawn in haldi and kumkum. Startled by his red eyes, she ran out. That evening, she fell severely ill and remained weak for a week. Everyone feared for her life. My mother learned from neighbors that the girl had seen Mastan during his ritual. An elder suggested mentioning her illness to him, as he was believed to wield black magic for both good and bad purposes.
As the girl's condition worsened, my mother advised her to approach Mastan. With great difficulty, she did. Mastan, initially silent, asked about her illness and then rubbed his hand on her head, assuring her she would be fine. Remarkably, by evening, she was able to talk and eat on her own. Within 2-3 days, she fully recovered. However, it was also said that Mastan sometimes used his powers for malevolent purposes, needing to practice on someone to maintain his grip on the black magic” called”chey-tha-badi..
"My cousin was possessed by an aalims "muaqqil". it was a jinn who used to posses my cousin and my cousin would act weird and do things on his command"
“A horrifying human sacrifice case has shaken Kerala. Investigating a missing person, police unearthed a nightmare. The prime suspect, Mohammad Shafi, a suspected psychopath with a criminal past, allegedly convinced a seemingly ordinary couple, Bhagaval Singh and Laila, to perform sacrifices for wealth. The details are monstrous - victims were brutally murdered, one dismembered into 5 pieces, with some remains even consumed by Laila.
Police are scrambling to uncover the truth. Was Shafi a repeat offender? Are there more accomplices? Shafi, facing charges like rape, seems to have preyed on his victims' desperation. He used social media and local ads to lure them with promises of wealth through his "rituals," charging the couple a hefty sum.
This case exposes a chilling web of manipulation, desperation, and violence. After the first sacrifice in June failed to improve their finances, Shafi allegedly convinced them for a second one, leading to their arrest. All three suspects are now in custody.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the darkness that can lurk beneath the surface. Police are committed to bringing justice to the victims' families, while the community grapples with the unsettling truth of the sacrifices. The scars of this case will undoubtedly linger, raising questions about vulnerability and the potential for exploitation.”
"when i was in my early twenties, my father got really sick. he got very weak and ill. turns out a distamt relative who had jealousy int their heart did blackmagic on him to such an extent that my father’s leg had to be amputated"
“Years ago, I experienced unexplained fear while walking to my room on the first floor of our two-storey house, despite never discussing ghosts or watching horror shows. I felt someone following me, though I saw no one. This fear wasn't triggered by anything specific. Eventually, we moved out due to unrelated issues, and while packing, we found a voodoo doll and black magic items under a glass slab. My parents believed it caused our problems, but I'm skeptical. Despite visiting graveyards for fun and seeing nothing, recalling that fearful walk still sends chills down my spine.”
“At 15, after excelling in school and joining a prestigious college, my mother boasted about my achievements to my father’s elder brother, Tauji. Soon after, strange things began happening: I lost interest in studies, saw shadows, had nightmares, irregular menstrual cycles, stomach issues, and panic attacks. Despite normal medical tests, I deteriorated. A colleague suggested visiting a Baba, who cured me with hymns and an amulet. He revealed that a female relative, starting with "J," from my father's side, was behind it, driven by financial motives and jealousy. We later realized it was my father's elder sister, with Tauji as a catalyst. The lesson: never flaunt achievements and always trust in God's justice.”
“My multimillionaire grandfather, who moved his business from Karachi to India after the partition, had six sons and a daughter. My father, the youngest, faced black magic from the wives of his first, third, and fourth eldest brothers, who sought a larger inheritance. After my birth in 1999, their efforts intensified. My mother experienced disturbing visions, and we often found black magic items around our home. In 2004, a servant saved me from eating tampered sweets. In 2005, we discovered a lemon with vermillion and needles, leading to my mother's furious curse. A saint, summoned by my maternal grandmother, identified the culprits and protected us with his blessing. Although minor incidents persist, we trust in our inner strength.”

Years ago in Pakistan, I suffered from a severe bacterial infection and typhoid fever. Despite being educated, my family suspected black magic due to cultural beliefs. My mother, finding coils of black hair, turned to an 'amil' (faith healer) and changed my name, giving me syrups and soups of dubious origins. These treatments failed, and my condition worsened. Eventually, my mother took me to Dr. Shah, a board-certified pediatrician, who diagnosed me with gastric fever and prescribed antibiotics. I recovered quickly, but the ordeal highlighted the deep-rooted belief in black magic. This incident taught my mother to seek medical help promptly, though she still consulted healers. The experience left me with lingering anxiety and a distaste for certain remedies, reflecting the pervasive influence of black magic in our culture.
